Now in its seventh edition, the exhibition “Nativity of the World” collects nativity scenes on a journey

across continents to discover the many traditions in the world.
The cribs will be installed by immigrants present in Rimini materials circulated

Especially the countries of origin.
You can admire beautiful representations of the Nativity in which the various characters have

features very strong and diverse identity of a people from precise

every corner of the world, so dark skin and almond eyes or oriental features but

the same look all sweet and serene, typical of the crib.
Among the materials used, we have the so-called humble materials like cardboard, the

clay, wood, glass, and plaster, but also highly original materials as

the eggshell and walnut bread and banana leaves.
The exhibition will not be missed, however cribs crystal, silver od’avorio.
The art of “poor” and the popular religion is an important and effective channel

cultural exchange in the period of Christmas, also identified as a celebration of love and

Solidarity: an opportunity to share and spread a message of peace that intercultural

and brotherhood.
The exhibition, edited by Caritas, is produced in collaboration with the Department

social services of the Municipality.
The exhibition will take place from 5 December to 6 January 2010 at the Palazzo del Podesta di Rimini, in

Piazza Cavour, and will follow every day the following hours: 9.00 -12.30 / 16.00-19.30
